Day 1

Sydney

Arrive in Sydney at any time, and enjoy the day at your leisure to explore the city. You may decide to visit The Rocks, a historic neighbourhood in the city centre. Then, meet your group and tour leader to learn more about your upcoming adventure. Afterwards, opt to join the group for a local meal.

Overnight: Wake Up! Sydney or similar.
Optional experience: The Rocks Neighbourhood Visit

Day 2

Sydney

Spend a free day exploring Sydney, Australia's oldest and largest city. Take a ferry across the harbour and admire the iconic Opera House, wander through historic laneways, or relax at Bondi Beach.

Overnight: Wake Up! Sydney or similar.
Optional experiences: Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach coastal walk, Sydney Opera House visit.

Day 3

Sydney to Arrawarra

Today, travel by train to Coffs Harbour, then continue by private vehicle to Spot X Surf Camp, where you'll stay for the next few days.

Overnight: Spot X Surf Camp or similar (dinner included).

Day 4

Arrawarra

Wake up early for an included surf lesson at Spot X, located on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Australia. Afterward, enjoy some time soaking up the sunshine before heading out on a kangaroo trek. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax, explore, or enjoy a picnic at Mullawarra Beach.

Overnight: Spot X Surf Camp or similar (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Optional experience: Swimming

Day 5

Arrawarra to Byron Bay

Journey through breathtaking landscapes to Byron Bay, a vibrant surf and arts town. Have lunch and then walk to Cape Byron Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Australia. Keep an eye out for migrating whales or resident dolphins.

Overnight: Wake Up! Byron Bay or similar (breakfast included).

Day 6

Byron Bay

Explore Byron Bay’s surf culture and relax on its beautiful beaches. Opt to go sea kayaking or watch dolphins. Don’t miss out on one last surf session, as Byron Bay is known for its perfect waves.

Overnight: Wake Up! Byron Bay or similar.
Optional experience: Byron Bay Ocean Kayaking

Day 7

Byron Bay to Brisbane

Travel north to Brisbane, Queensland’s capital. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful landscape and stop for an included visit to the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, where you can observe rescue koalas and learn more about conservation efforts.

Overnight: BUNK Brisbane or similar (breakfast included).

Day 8

Brisbane to K'gari (Fraser Island)

Rise early for a journey to K'gari (Fraser Island), the world's largest sand island. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional welcome ceremony by the Butchulla people. Then, embark on a 4WD adventure, exploring the island’s natural beauty, swimming at Lake McKenzie and enjoying a sunset beach walk.

Overnight: The Eco Retreat (or similar (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 9

K'gari (Fraser Island) to Noosa

Today, you’ll tour K'gari, climb sand dunes, see the Maheno shipwreck, and swim at Eli Creek. Afterward, head to Noosa for some relaxation.

Overnight: Bounce Noosa or similar (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 10

Noosa

Take a scenic hike in Noosa National Park, enjoying stunning coastal views and the chance to spot koalas in their natural habitat. The afternoon is yours to relax, shop, or surf.

Overnight: Bounce Noosa or similar.

Day 11

Noosa to Airlie Beach

Spend the day in Noosa before catching an overnight train to Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands.

Overnight: Train to Airlie Beach.

Day 12

Airlie Beach

Arrive in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy free time to relax, shop, or take a day trip to the reef.

Overnight: Nomads Airlie Beach Hostel or similar.

Day 13

Whitsunday Islands

Embark on an ocean raft excursion to explore the stunning Whitsunday Islands. Swim at Whitehaven Beach, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy beach time.

Overnight: Nomads Airlie Beach Hostel or similar (lunch included).
Optional experience: Whitsunday Islands snorkelling.

Day 14:

Airlie Beach to Cairns

Depart early for Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy stunning landscapes along the way, stopping to see some of Australia's "big things".

Overnight: Cairns Central YHA or similar.

Day 15

Cairns

Take advantage of a free day in Cairns. Opt to explore the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef in the world, by snorkelling alongside the 1500 species of tropical fish that call Australia's east coast home.

Overnight: Cairns Central YHA or similar.
Optional experience: Great Barrier Reef snorkelling from Cairns.

Day 16

Departure Day

Depart at any time, or perhaps extend your adventure.
