Today is yours to spend as you please. There’s no shortage of things to do in Sydney, so use your time wisely. Consider exploring The Rocks area on foot, home to the city's Museum of Modern Art. In the evening, join your CEO and fellow travellers for a meal at a local restaurant.

Day 4
Sydney/Yulara
Catch a flight to Yulara, the gateway to Uluru and the Red Centre. Spend the afternoon exploring the area, starting with Kata Tjuta National Park and the Walpa Gorge walk. Yulara/Kings Canyon 300km
Rise early to catch the sunrise over Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic Indigenous landmarks. Afterward, embark on a guided walk through the culturally significant areas of Uluru. These sacred sites are some of the oldest on Earth, and learning about them adds depth to the experience. Later, travel to the Kings Canyon region, where you’ll set up camp in the bush.

Day 6
Kings Canyon/Alice Springs 321km
Enjoy the cooler morning temperatures of the desert as you head out for a hike around Kings Canyon. Choose between a challenging 3-hour hike or a more leisurely 1-hour option. The Rim Walk is a 6km trek along the upper rim of Kings Canyon, with a steep 500-step ascent at the start, but the stunning views make it worth the effort. If you prefer something less demanding, opt for a 2km walk through the canyon valley. After your hike, relax on a drive east to Alice Springs.

Alice Springs/Melbourne
Alice Springs, rich in Indigenous history, is also home to the historic Telegraph Station, which once linked Australia from top to bottom in the 19th century, integrating the country into the wider British Empire. Take some time to learn about the station’s troubling history, particularly when it ceased operations and became a boarding house for Indigenous children.
In the afternoon you’ll fly to Melbourne where the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Melbourne is one of the easiest cities to explore on foot and by public transport, so you’ll be getting your steps in today. Start the morning with a guided laneways tour through some of the city’s famous (and lesser-known) spots. Then, join your CEO at the Queen Victoria Market for lunch, choosing from the many food stalls. In the afternoon, head to the Royal Botanic Gardens of Melbourne, a 38-hectare space with over 800 plant species from around the globe.
